I recently had the chance to attend a little fete at Villa Montalvo with some of the most respected wedding vendors in the industry, joining efforts for a cause. Wish Upon a Wedding is a wish granting organization, putting together free weddings & civil union ceremonies at destinations across the United States for individuals facing life-threatening illness. It was so generous of Villa Montalvo’s administration to sponsor such a worthy event.

I had the chance to shoot a wedding with Claudia Akers at Villa Montalvo, the year before. And I must admit, it’s one of the most picturesque venues in the South Bay. What also made this wedding memorable was it was my first time to photograph a Jewish wedding. The traditional Hora (chair dance) was especially exhilliarating to cover, I was half afraid the bride might fall over. The “Hava Nagila” was such an infectious song. Had a blast!
