We are still basking in bridal fair high, fresh off yesterday’s amazing Modern Luxury Weddings held at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in downtown San Francisco. I was able to take some photos before the brides came down in hoards, seeking bridal inspiration for the big day. I had a wonderful time, connecting with couples about the wedding photography needs and talking about the experiential approach to photography.
Here’s my booth! Thank you to Claudia Akers for lending me those beautiful wrought iron easels 🙂
I get by with a little help from my friends a.k.a. the Booth Babes (+ Hunk Hubby). Former brides Alana and Adriana came out to be my in-person yelpers! College friend and all-around best bud Ez does the honors of drawing the first of our lucky raffle winners. They did a great job!
And congratulations to our bride to be Lydia Ko and her fiancé for winning a complimentary Beloved engagement shoot.
This photo makes me chuckle. It’s basically my studio/consultation room but prettier.
I also got to meet some great wedding vendors as well, as I checked out some of the other booths. Happy brides and grooms-to-be sipped complimentary wine provided by Spritzsf.com. Yum!
My view of the Ritz Carlton ballroom.
I met the lovely Dawn Valentine of The Original Travelling Booth. Gorgeous design!
Our booth was so strategically located – near the ladies restroom and downwind of a crazy-good coffee smell, provided by Coffee Concepts.
Brides-to-be enjoyed makeovers provided by Doce Mendez of Haute Hair Studio.
Super fun at the You Booth photo booth. Here’s my shot with my hubby mystery samurai.
And here are the fun people running that booth!
My newest real-life friends (but long time Facebook friends) Frederick and Jaime of Sullivan-Botello events. Check out their beautiful eco-friendly sustainable green-chic themed design!
To the left of my booth was the constant temptation of Sweet Lauren Cakes. The owner Lauren graciously wrapped up a bunch for me, which I gave to my kids. They loved the cake pops!
And lastly, here’s a snap of a dear friend of mine, photographer Jim Vetter – who I work with occasionally. All the vendors were great — and I was very happy to be among a select group of photographers at the Modern Bridal Wedding event. Here’s to a great 2013 wedding season for us all!
