Now *this* was such a beautiful and heartfelt wedding.
How can I describe Karen and Dan as a couple? They are just — so perfectly matched. Dan is a little on the quiet side, but is a little snarky too. He managed to suprise me with a quick witted comment (or two) just simply out of the blue. I totally get his sense of humor. You can tell there’s a lot going on in his head, whether it’s calculating algorithms or figuring out his next step — he’s got things under control. Meanwhile, Karen is just so beautiful – inside and out. She laughs easily, is totally charming and it’s difficult not to love her within minutes of meeting her. As their wedding photographer, I wanted to be sure I captured their essence on their wedding, as individuals and as husband and wife.
One individual touch I loved about this wedding is that the couple made an effort to bring their personal advocacy to the forefront. Both Karen and Dan are deeply involved in animal adoption and fostering. Karen volunteers at the local animal shelter and named each table for kittens she had fostered. At their gift table, there was information on how to participate in SFSPCA. They also had flyers for the Asian Liver Center at Stanford to bring awareness and ask help from their guests. I thought it was a great way of paying it forward, on their big day.
So…here is the slideshow from the wedding day. Both ceremony and reception were held at the breathtaking Kohl Mansion in Burlingame CA. I was totally honored to be part of their day. Congratulations, once again!
