MEET THE ARTIST

This is pretty typical of Auey, on the floor and laughing. And she will pretty much do anything to get the shot. Clients don’t call her a photo ninja for nothing.

Auey is a natural storyteller. It’s her belief and mission that everyone has a story worth telling. With her broadcast journalism background, she has the uncanny ability to draw out the truth, even from the most unwilling of subjects and awkward of situations. She understands the power of visuals, having worked in broadcast media and web content management before launching her photography business in 2002. Among her corporate clients are Coca-Cola, IW Group San Francisco, Bayer, California Academy of Science and Lucille Packard’s Children Hospital at Stanford.

Auey lives and loves in Oakland, with her punk-rock-engineer husband Andreas, her two rambunctious sons Milo and Axel, and one beagle-mix Commander Cody. Current obsessions include lindy hop, her banjolele, and all things weird and wonderful.
