A Gothic Wedding, Temecula CA

So you might have noticed big changes in my blog design (yay) and that I’ve hardly posted anything new in the past months (boo!) Apologies all around as I try my darnest best to play catch up. The last two months have been filled with efforts to archive weddings and portraits from as far back as 2006, while pulling out and reworking favorites for a new website. So finally, here are some photos from one of the most unique weddings I’ve shot in my whole wedding career. These images are from a wedding last fall with Claudia Akers Photography. Naming it a goth wedding might not be entirely correct – as it had borrowed some styling from  Punk Goth Lolita fashion and some fantasy-magical elements as well. But I felt a certain kinship to it, because a lot of it reminded me of (my favorite!) Endless from the Sandman graphic novels by Neil Gaiman. Anyway, It took place at a hidden castle in the quaint little town of Temecula CA and was attended by less than a hundred guests decked in their best halloween costumes. And no cheesy music for the reception either – we rocked out to The Cure, Psychedelic Furs, Siouxsie & the Banshees and Gang of Four. A wedding after my own Ipod heart.
